The City of San Diego and San Diego County are not interchangeable. San Diego County contains 18 incorporated cities plus unincorporated territory.
If the RV is outside City of San Diego limits, provide its actual city or storage location rather than using San Diego as a catch-all. That keeps the location accurate and prevents City of San Diego rules from being applied to an RV stored somewhere else.

City Parking Rules and California Title Rules Come From Different Agencies
The City of San Diego handles municipal matters such as local street parking. California DMV controls the title and transfer requirements relevant to an RV sale.
Within City of San Diego limits, recreational vehicles generally cannot park on public streets between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. without an applicable Temporary Overnight Recreational Vehicle Permit.
Separately, no vehicle may remain continuously at one location on a public roadway for more than 72 hours. These are City of San Diego parking rules, not OneRVBuyer requirements.
Before a sale is finalized, know the RV’s current ownership and title status and tell OneRVBuyer about any lien or title issue. Some trailers may be registered through California’s Permanent Trailer Identification program, which can change the documentation needed. A qualifying motorhome can also be subject to California Smog Check requirements.
California DMV requires a seller to notify DMV within five calendar days after the applicable sale or transfer and delivery of possession. The Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability reports the transfer to DMV, but filing it does not by itself complete the ownership transfer.
