The documents used in an Oklahoma RV sale can depend on whether the title is electronic or paper, whether a lien remains, and whether the title carries a special status.
Vehicle-title services in Oklahoma are handled through Service Oklahoma. Oklahoma began issuing titles electronically by default on July 1, 2025. Existing paper titles remain valid until another title transaction occurs.
When the current Oklahoma title is electronic, Service Oklahoma uses Form 718, Bill of Sale of an Electronic Title, for the ownership transfer process. The current form includes seller, buyer, vehicle, sale, and notary information. It is intended only when the current Oklahoma title on record is electronic.
Existing Oklahoma paper titles remain valid until another title transaction occurs. Service Oklahoma’s published transfer guidance generally lists a properly assigned and notarized Oklahoma certificate of title for a vehicle that still has a paper title.
Does Oklahoma Require Notarization?
Service Oklahoma‘s published transfer guidance lists a notarized Oklahoma title or Form 718 for ordinary transfers. Beginning November 1, 2026, a statutory exception applies to certain records submitted electronically by eligible entities. The exception does not apply to transactions that do not include an eligible entity. If There Is an Active Lien
Oklahoma is a title-holding state. If a lien is active, the lienholder can hold the title, and Service Oklahoma transfer guidance includes a lien release when an active lien must be cleared. Tell OneRVBuyer about an active lien before transaction paperwork is finalized.
If a Paper Title Was Actually Lost
