Waco’s planning jurisdiction extends beyond its incorporated city limits, so the RV’s actual physical location is more useful than a broad Waco-area description.
The City of Waco has an extraterritorial jurisdiction outside its incorporated boundaries. McLennan County also includes separate municipalities that are not part of Waco city proper. If the RV is at your home, in storage, in the Waco ETJ, or somewhere else in McLennan County, provide the place where it is actually kept when you request an offer. McLennan County and TxDMV Provide Different Vehicle Services
The McLennan County Tax Office handles most routine vehicle title and registration services, while the TxDMV Waco Regional Service Center provides selected specialized title services.
For routine vehicle title and registration transactions, the McLennan County Tax Office is the main local resource. TxDMV lists vehicle title transfers among the services county tax offices provide.
Waco also has a Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Regional Service Center. That office provides selected services including replacement titles, investigation and resolution of Texas title errors, Vehicle Transfer Notifications, title-history inquiries, and bonded-title rejection letters.
The City of Waco does not create Texas vehicle-title rules. State requirements come from Texas, while the county tax office and TxDMV regional center provide different transaction services.
For a Texas-titled motor vehicle, TxDMV recommends filing a Vehicle Transfer Notification after the sale. Filing within 30 days gives the seller the specific protections described by the agency.
Vehicle Transfer Notification
TxDMV says that when the notification is filed within 30 days of the sale, the seller cannot be held responsible for parking tickets and toll violations committed by the purchaser. The notification does not itself put the title in the buyer’s name.
Different RVs, Different Paperwork
RVs include both motorized and towable types, and TxDMV states that trailer titling and registration requirements can vary by trailer type and weight. Do not assume that one paperwork rule applies identically to every RV.

Report Weather Damage Only If It Affected This RV
The National Weather Service identifies large hail, damaging winds, flooding, and tornadoes as recurring Central Texas hazards, but that does not mean every RV in Waco has weather-related damage.
If severe weather actually affected the RV, describe what you know and can observe. Useful details may include hail dents, roof impacts, damaged vents or skylights, awning damage, wind or debris impact, leaks, water intrusion, interior moisture, or known flood exposure.
The National Weather Service also notes that Waco is unlikely to experience every major Central Texas severe-weather hazard every year. Location alone should therefore never be treated as proof of damage.
